Pocket guide to student housing in Athens
Athens is a major Greek student destination, known for its universities, ancient heritage, museums, and lively contemporary culture. It attracts undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as international students and Erasmus or other exchange participants. Finding housing can be challenging because availability is limited in popular areas, lease requirements vary, and moving from abroad often involves paperwork and remote viewings. Fully furnished private student housing in Athens offers a practical way to secure a reliable rental with less setup before arrival.
Blueground’s furnished student apartments in Athens are move-in ready and offer flexible lease lengths that can suit term-time stays, full academic years, or longer study programmes. Homes are available in convenient neighbourhoods with access to universities, metro stations, and other public transport, depending on the property. Features such as dedicated study space, high-speed internet, and layouts suitable for sharing support everyday student life. For Erasmus and exchange students, clearly stated rental terms and, where available, bills-included arrangements can simplify relocating and managing monthly costs.
